Fish Rack Plumbing Specifications
Water must be added periodically to compensate for evaporation and livestock turnover. Each fish rack is equipped with an integrated Fill Pipe (1) that delivers water to the system in a controlled manner. When a tank reaches its normal operating level, excess water flows through the overflow holes (3a), into the overflow pipe (3), and then through the drain pipe (4) to a floor drain.
After all tanks on the fish rack are filled, the incoming water supply should be turned off. A carbon filter is recommended on the supply line to remove chlorine from municipal water.
IMPORTANT: A pressure-reducing valve is required to ensure inlet water pressure remains between 20–30 PSI.
DAS supplies all plumbing located on and within the fish rack. All building plumbing, water supply connections, and floor drains are to be provided by others.
